India - will we get freedom or not if we have no mahatma gandhi ?

Mahatma Gandhi was a symbol, a representation, of the aspiration of millions of people of India and as such they have lent their will and energy to him that made him succeed. Any leader who can inspire millions to share their energy or any multitude that gets united for a cause can achieve it, not alone.
