in the revolutionary war the colonists eventually got outside help from France. The British were fighting on unfamiliar ground and they were using European strategies instead of the guerrilla warfare the colonists were using. The Union had the same monetary and weaponry advantages that the British did. They used their advantages more efficiently and had war tactics that fit the type of war they were fighting.
