How can I find out someone's married name?

A friend of mine got married a few years ago (less than 5) but we haven't spoken since before then. We really don't have many mutual contacts so I can't "ask around". And all of the genealogy sites charge or tease you with records you can't see unless you register to that site. I don't want to hire anyone or spend money to find her and I don't want to go searching through municipal archives or rummaging through marriage licenses. I can't understand why its so difficult to find someone's new married name. Are there ANY free websites (no registration, no charges, no credit card needed PERIOD) where I can search? Specifically NJ. Please do not suggest Ancestry or any websites like it- they don't help. And she isn't on Facebook or Myspace, and I know she hasn't moved out of NJ. Thanks.
