My Violin has no label and I don't know what wood it's made of?

My violin has no label on the inside that I can see and the wood on the back isn't that "flamming" wood. It is kind of swirly, like birds eye wood maybe? Also, it is oddly heavy. It's heavier than any other violin I have ever played. I can't seem to find the store my dad said he bought it from, is there anyway I can find out who made it or where it came form or what kind of wood is used?
