EBT! please help?! It's for family!?

So my step father ped awhile ago now not quite a year but close and he had an EBT aka foodstamps/bridge card and they haven't turned it off and money has still been getting put on the card so is it allowed for my mom (his wife) to use that even though he is deceased because the gov. Has still sent the money to his card and I'm sure they know he has ped so please help were going through a rough time and so it would be greatly appreciated(:
